Miller’s assignment was a multiple message campaign in the public interest to generate aids awareness, convey the importance of eating healthfully and the benefits of breast feeding, and disseminate the knowledge of a poison hotline. These important public service messages were advertised through both traditional and digital mediums.
The success of an important public interest campaign cannot accurately be quantified in terms of lives saved or public awareness created. However, a compelling public interest campaign is deemed successful if it is graphically arresting and the media choices reflect intelligent planning. Miller is proud of its role in serving the city of New York and continues to create fresh, innovative campaigns for the Department of Health.
