We Power Voting Pledge
Campaign Finance Board

Getting young people engaged and pledging to vote in upcoming elections is important to our democracy. A nontraditional digital media plan to drive voter pledges and engagements among young people 18-30 in New York City was called for. As young people are inundated with communication in the run-up to the 2020 election, they are increasingly distrustful. So, who do young people in NYC trust? They trust each other.
Miller Advertising recommended a paid micro influencer approach for the We Power initiative sponsored by the NYC Campaign Finance Board. This campaign succeeds, because the media – sourced from young people with social influence — is more local, emotional, and personal. As a result, we generated greater engagements, click-throughs and pledges than standard digital ads.
Miller helps turn out voters for state, local and federal elections. The agency also tackles early voting, absentee voting, special elections and more.
